How to do it

  1. 1

Write the Chinese size characters 大 (big), 中 (medium), and 小 (small) on the front of a cardboard box, each above a corresponding hole cut to different sizes.

  2. 2

Write matching characters on the inside of colorful bottle caps.

  3. 3

Have your child pick up each bottle cap, read the character, and drop it into the matching hole on the box.

Tips & extensions

Color-code the bottle caps and holes (e.g., teal for 小, orange for 中) to add an extra layer of matching challenge or as a hint for younger learners.
