Terms of Service

Last updated: May 13, 2026

By using simply-play.com ("the site"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. These terms are between you and Simply Play, operated by Annie Hsieh.

Using the site

Simply Play is a free resource. You may browse and use the activities for personal, family, or classroom purposes.

You may not:

  • Reproduce, sell, or redistribute our activity content without written permission
  • Scrape the site in a way that disrupts service for other visitors
  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose
  • Impersonate Simply Play or its owners in any communication

Teachers and homeschool parents are welcome to print or share individual activities for classroom use. Please credit Simply Play and include a link back to the site.

Activity safety

Activities on Simply Play are designed to be safe and low-prep, but adult supervision is your responsibility. We note age ranges and any relevant cautions, but you know your child best. Simply Play is not liable for any injury, damage, or mess that results from trying an activity. Use your judgment.

User-submitted content

If you submit an activity, photo, or other content to Simply Play, you confirm you own it or have the right to share it, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish it on the site and related social channels. We may edit submissions for clarity, length, or style. We will credit contributors by first name unless you ask us not to.

We reserve the right to decline or remove any submission at our discretion.

Sponsored and brand content

Some pages feature toy and board-game brands that sponsor their placement. We label all sponsored content clearly with a "Featured Brand" or "Sponsored" badge. Sponsor brands do not control editorial content on the rest of the site. Our activity library reflects our own independent recommendations.

Intellectual property

All original written content, photography, and design on Simply Play belongs to Annie Hsieh and Simply Play. The Fraunces and Inter typefaces are used under their respective open-source licenses. Activity ideas themselves are not copyrightable, but our specific instructions, photos, and presentation are.

Third-party links

The site links to external sites (YouTube, brand websites, product listings). We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or practices. A link is not an endorsement unless we say so.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Simply Play is provided "as is." We make no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Simply Play and Annie Hsieh are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or its content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
