How to do it

  1. 1

    Freeze water with food coloring to make primary-colored ice cubes ahead of time.

  2. 2

    Drop two cubes of different colors into a clear cup.

  3. 3

    Ask the kid to predict what color they'll mix into.

  4. 4

    Pour warm water over the cubes and watch the colors swirl together.
